There is a difference between an island tour - and an island tour with personal connections and history. Jim is in the second group. Our tour included all the regular attractions and things to see with some extra personal stories about many of the places. The batik stop took on extra significance as he told us about what was there before and his experiences at the site.
If you are looking for a drive around the island see all the sites and learn both history and personal history from an enthuisiastic guide who wants to share this is the tour for you.

“Island Tour!”
"Rose was awesome!! Very informative and interesting. Took her time with the tour. We even saw some wild monkeys!! Tour of the batik factory was very neat!! Great trip that covered the entire island."

"I can't say enough about Jim and Rose! This is our second time using their service and this time they took us on a complete tour of the island. Stunning views with very friendly and knowledgeable guides. Would Highly recommend them to anyone!"

"Good People"
"We had Jim take us on an Island tour. He is very knowledgeable, friendly and unhurried. Other times in our stay he has driven us to other locations and on one occasion, taking us to the ferry port, he took us right to the ferry window and got us set up for our crossing to Nevis. He is a good person and would highly recommend him for all your tours and taxi needs.

Hi Rose,
This is long over-due, but we have been SO busy since our return from the CCL "Miracle" cruise (Feb.22) this is the first opportunity I am finding to say Thank You. On Monday, Feb. 27th, my husband, Joe, & our friend, Frank, and I had the pleasure of taking your tour around the lovely island of St. Kitts.
We want to thank you so much for the comprehensive tour of your scenic island. From the time we left Port Zante, we pretty much had the COMPLETE island tour (except for the Fortress, which was not on our "to-see" list anyway.) The Caribelle Batik gardens were beautiful, along with the batik work itself!! We enjoyed our stop at Black Rocks, with the refreshing coconut water drink. :-) We were very fortunate to be in the van during the rain showers, & they didn't interfere with our sight-seeing.
Lunch at the Reggae Beach was very nice, & we enjoyed meeting Wilbirt. :-) Wish we'd had more time to enjoy that beach spot........next time. St. Kitts has certainly come a LONG way since the last time I was there, probably 20 years ago!! I was very pleased with what I saw this time. Thank you so much for showing us all the "hot" spots.
I will be sure to pass the word along re your tours, to anyone I know who is travelling to St. Kitts. You did an excellent job, & we Thank You!!

"We were recommended to Rosie and Jim by our neighbours in the UK. We were in St Kitts for a day sailing on a cruise ship. I contacted Rosie before we went on the cruise and booked on their Panoramic tour. At the exact time of 8.30 as planned there was Rosie at the pier on St Kitts with her sign ready to take us on the tour, With 5 other people off we went as enjoyed a really nice trip of St kitts, the views the panoramas and the trip to the Batik factory,
Rosie's knowledge of living in St Kitts having left the UK years ago is excellent. It wasa really enjoyable trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Call her before though and make sure you get on her tour.

"Rose and Jim Tour - highly recommended"
"We just returned from a cruise to St. Kitts. St. Kitts is a beautiful island. You will want to see as much of it as you can.
Rose was our tour guide. It was one of the best days of our cruise. Her van is very comfortable and she was very accommodating and great to meet. She totally designed the tour around our wishes, let us stop for pictures wherever we wanted, picked other gorgeous spots for photo ops, and let us spend extra time at the beach because we weren't interested in shopping. Her van is very comfortable and she was very accommodating. I'd go with her again in a minute."

".....We walked on towards the shops and saw a lady sitting on a bench holding a sign saying Rose & Jim - we had previously read about them on this site and asked if Rose would take us. We were soon a group of 6 and Rose took us on a fabulous tour .......
Rose is from Leeds and has lived in St Kitts with Jim for 26 years. She is extremely knowledgeable and answered all our questions. She took us to the Batic Factory...... She also took us to Brimstone Hill and the lava rocks where we ate fresh coconut. Rose offered to take us to a beach of our choice but we asked to be dropped in the town as we wanted time to take a look around.
We would highly recommend Rose and Jim and can provide their email address if required." |
